The Hakko FR-400 ultra heavy-duty (UHD) desoldering station is specifically designed for burdensome rework of exceptionally large mass components, such as heat sinks, large transformers, high current inductor coils, shields, and other connections where high thermal inertia must be prevented.

The large mass of the heater and nozzles combined with the control and power of the ceramic heating cartridge allows you to perform rework of highly challenging solder joints at only 750°F (400°C) with no preheating. The anti-clogging feature ensures instant peak vacuum pressure to stop the premature release of the vacuum system before the solder clears the heater and is captured in the collection chamber, which is three times larger in capacity than other Hakko desoldering stations. And a large, easy-to-read display including a vacuum indicator to let you know of any needed cleaning using tools in the maintenance kit comes with the station.

Nozzles sold separately.

  • FR-4001-81 Handpiece is compatible with B5079 & B5082 Nozzles.
