They neither give nor take electrons and remain essentially electrically neutral. There can be a slight charge created in extreme voltage sensitive applications. Brushes should only be in liquid environments, for board rework and cleanup.

Works particularly well for board rework and cleanup, for cleaning or roughing and where a stiffer brush is needed.
